Job Summary

The Steward plays a vital role in supporting daily kitchen and back‑of‑house operations by ensuring consistent cleanliness, proper sanitation, and efficient organization of all work areas. This position contributes directly to food safety standards, smooth kitchen workflow, and overall guest satisfaction by maintaining a hygienic and well‑functioning environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Steward is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and workstations in accordance with health and safety regulations. The role includes assisting kitchen staff during peak service periods, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly, and maintaining cleanliness in storage, preparation, and service areas. The Steward must consistently follow hygiene procedures, safety guidelines, and hotel policies to prevent contamination and workplace hazards.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least two (2) years of related work experience in stewarding, dishwashing, or cleaning roles. Previous experience in a luxury hotel or 5‑star hotel environment is preferred. The ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting is essential.
