Commis II


The Commis 2 supports kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation, executing basic dishes, and maintaining clean, organized workstations. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of kitchen activities while upholding the standards expected in a luxury dining environment. The Commis 2 is expected to demonstrate consistency, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn, contributing to the overall quality and presentation of dishes while supporting senior chefs during service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior chefs in the preparation and cooking of ingredients and basic menu items
  • Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality in food production
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas and equipment at all times
  • Adhere strictly to food hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Support stock rotation, storage, and proper handling of ingredients
  • Ensure readiness of mise en place for efficient kitchen operations
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to deliver timely service

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining kitchen environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn and grow
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
